Shodaigyo Meditation Basics

Meditation Membership 2022-2023

In mindfulness meditation, you pay attention to your thoughts as they pass through your mind. You don’t judge the thoughts or become involved with them. You simply observe and take note of any patterns. This practice combines concentration with awareness. You may find it helpful to focus on an object or your breath while you observe any bodily sensations, thoughts, or feelings. Think of this practice as an exercise for general well-being to taste the preciousness of life. If your well-being increases, the total well-being of this world also increases. This is a very important concept in Nichiren Shu Buddhism.

Shodaigyo Meditation 2022-2023 runs as a per-month membership system. Members have access to 2, 3, or even 4 Live classes per month, depending on the time of the year.  A total of 30 classes will be offered from September 2022 to June 2023. Each class is on a Tuesday at 6:30 pm CST.
